Is clubbing more fun when you're single?

Some people say they have more fun clubbing when they're single than when they're in a relationship. But how widespread is this view? The thought is that once you're in a relationship and committed to another person, the clubbing experience changes because there's things you can no longer do: like dancing in a sexy way with someone, flirting, or kissing someone you've just met.

When we're single and out clubbing, there are emotions we experience when we see someone we like and when we dance or talk with them - something we no longer do or experience in the same way once we're committed to a relationship. Meeting new people of the opposite sex is after all, one of the reasons for people to go clubbing in the first place; and once you're committed to someone the reason for going out is really just to socialise and have fun.

Certain things that are well in the "no go" zone once you're in a relationship are definitely out, like kissing another person. Other things, like innocently dancing with people of the opposite sex is usually still ok with most couples - either as just an implied understanding between you and your partner given the trust you both have for each other, or as something you and your partner mutually agree is ok.

The opposite side of the view on clubbing when you're in a relationship is that it's just as fun as when you're single. Some people say it's easier to talk to hot guys or girls once you're in a relationship because conversations you have with those people will be no more than just friendly socialising. You feel more confident talking with them and have more fun socialising as a result.

Plus of course when you go out, the main reason you're there is to have fun with friends. There's music, the dance floor, drinks and times to enjoy with one another.

And on nights you and your boyfriend/girlfriend go out together, you're sure to have a fun time together.

If you go out knowing that you're there to enjoy yourself and have a great time, just because you're in a relationship doesn't mean that a night out hitting the clubs is going to be anything less than amazing.
